Juniper is my favorite book of all time. I encountered it at that impressionable age. This is another wonderful taste of that same mesmerizing world. Once again I find myself going back to my roots, to what really matters in spirituality. Colman is transcendent while still keeping you on the ground.
Despite the various poor reviews of this book, I rather liked it a lot. It is obvious in a non-irritating way the spots where Monica Furlong would have expanded certain sentences that are sort of point-blank in description into something a little less-said and magically enchanting. After reading Wise Child and Juniper, it was easy to forgive and imagine these unfinished portions.
All in all, I found it a captivating book. A satisfactory conclusion to the series, particularly after the poor wrap-up of Juniper. I'd recommend it to anyone who's read the other two, absolutely.

I think the book was really about a different character than Colman, who did not seem.to play a pivotol role, and thus the POV felt odd.
The sequel to Wise Child (which I absolutely loved) and Juniper, this book was quite good. It was not quite as magical as Wise Child was when I read it, but it was very well-written, with a good plot, although I felt like the book was missing something, and ended the story well. The characters were as vivid and wonderful as ever, although it felt as if Colman's feelings somehow were unresolved, if that makes sense. All in all, it was a very good book.

And here we go again talking about the book I love most. I think that compared to the other two I love this one the most. It is the best way to describe the characters to see what they would do in times of panic and fear.
Though there is one thing I actually hate. I think Finbar get's a bit ignored at the end of the book. I mean he was the one who got the weapons and everything but he is not descriped at the battle which I think is were he should be too.
I always thought that in the end Juniper said to Leana she really wants to be her mother and that Leana got her mother figure (Juniper) and her father (Finbar of course) and that they live happily with Colman as their son but I think I imagined it and always continued to think about that for it did not happen. I think it would be a perfect ending. Close to the Castle of King Brandwyn how amazing would that be.
I remember reading this as a child and be afraid of what might happen with Colman/Leana and Cormac although I've read it several times I still think about that it's written very well. I loved it.

This is the third in a series - read the first 2 as a kid and then noticed this the other day and decided to see if I like it (plus it's finals...which means reading YA lit is my procrastination tool of choice).
I don't like it near as well as the first 2, but it's nice to finally get the ending...I always felt like the second book was a really dumb way to "end" things!
I enjoyed Colman, but I don't think it lived up to the first two books of the trilogy. It seemed flat and slow in comparison, and was missing a bit of the magic, especially of the first one.

My least favorite of the trilogy. This was her last book, I believe, and like the way I feel about my beloved Angela Carter, I am so sad I will never read a new book of hers again!
