This was really good! The setting of NYC at Christmas time was a vibe. The characters were so frustrating but so relatable…they’re all on the precipice of big changes and that affects their choices, logic, and friendship. Some parts really make your heart ache, others make it whole again.

It took me far too long to finish this book. It wasn’t a reflection of the brilliance of this story but a reflection of where I am in my life. A new baby. A toddler. Christmas.
This book.
It’s not your typical Christmas romance. Instead it is a love story of found family. A love letter to New York.
I also thought it was a love letter to being in college and living in Boston in 2008/2009. There were so many references to this time that made me nostalgic for my time there.
I think this reading experience was extra joyful for me because this is the year that I discovered Becca’s podcast. I look forward to every Wednesday when the new episode launches. Becca brought us along on her book writing journey. The highs and the lows. It was so neat to have this view of the process. It made me so much more invested in the story and that much more proud when I loved it!
Add this to your TBR. Order it now so you can enjoy it during that post Christmas haze. Buy it for ANYONE on your Christmas list.
I loved this book.
I hope the movie rights get swooped up because it would be PERFECTION!
A ⭐️ 3.5 ⭐️ holiday read! So cute and loved the growth of each character with the multiple POVs and timelines!

Read almost half but gave up because it was just too full of cliches and improbable happenings, and I found Theo's wealth more and more grating especially because there was no commentary from either his friends or the author about the fact that he and his fellow billionaires are ensuring the mass suffering and eventual extinction of our species and countless others on this planet. Lol, I might not be the target audience for this but I was looking forward to a cozy, easy, fun Christmas read. This just turned out to not be it.

This was in the holiday romance section of the airport bookstore, and it is not so much a romance. It’s a friends as family book. Good holiday read.
