After the first couple books of Jill Shalvis I read all the others have been very, very predictable. She follows a couple different "formulas" it seems. Yet I still find reading them very enjoyable and easy to get through.

not quite sure why I didn't care that much for All I Want. It might be that I o.d. on the series by reading the last three practically back to back. OR it could be have something to do with the narration. I listen to the audiobook of All I Want. And somehow I found the narration a tad to melodramatic for my taste.
While I kinda get the appeal of Parker, I didn't really feel that way. I mean I like him well enough, but lust for him? nope.
Then there is the supposed chemistry between Zoe and Parker, somehow that fell short for me as well.
The romance, was, well, not really my kind of thing. Parker is supposed to be so sweet and caring, but he not a single time took Zoe out on a date, or did very much to woe her. I mean I get tough Alpha dudes and all that... I married one of them.. but one doesn't have to be sopy or soft to persue a woman.
Ok let's just call it as it is: the entire thing is to pink and fluffy for me. Too saccharine, and too much the one and only.
Going back to the audio, I think I might have liked the book a tad better if I would have read it- since I have no intention to re-read right now, we might never know.

*sigh*

BUT the good news about that is: Most romance lovers won't mind. I just like some more sass to my romance is all.

All in all it's a sweet romance, with a splash of action and cute furry encounters.

Zoe is living in an old house in Sunshine, Idaho and since both her siblings found the love of her lives, she was not living alone in the house. They had inherited the place and now it was falling apart. Zoe was trying to work, pay off her loans as well as fixing the place up.
Now Wyatt had asked her a favour if his old friend Parker could rent a room for a couple of weeks. Zoe agreed, but she had no idea what she is in for. Parker, who she mistook for her date the night he arrived was both a great kisser as well as handsome. Not only were they living together, but he also makes her week.
Zoe was not what Parker had imagined, in any way. She was everything he could possible want and everything he could not resist. Will Parker till Zoe the truth of why he is in Sunshine and will Zoe let down her guards and risk getting hurt again?

I love this book. Zoe reminds me of a old friend of mine and her inability to fix things around the house is really fun to read. And Parker, he is the kind of character you take to your heart and don't forget.

All I Want is one of my new faves by Jill Shalvis! I laughed out loud so many times reading this book, and had to make a cookie run during the first couple of chapters to satisfy the craving elicited by reading about Zoe’s disastrous attempts at baking. I loved the easy chemistry between Zoe and Parker, the tough chick who still managed to be vulnerable and the alpha who didn’t want to admit to himself that he could be falling in love. And the scenes with Oreo and the kittens were so fantastically adorable. This book is a perfect example of why every new book by Jill Shalvis is an automatic buy for me.

I couldn't wait for the next animal magnetism book to come out. I love that there is a HEA for Zoe. It is a great book with a good story line.
