So sweet

Honestly, this was one of the most beautiful stories that I've ever read. I loved how Joshua was able to experience having more than one true love in his life. I'll definitely be reading this book again in the future.

Grade: C

I started this book on audio, but switched to the kindle version halfway through. John Solo's narration didn't work for me. Unfortunately, it wasn't just the narration that didn't work. Leta Blake gave literally every character in this book (except maybe Derrick) a tragic or difficult backstory. There was very little lightness in the story. Neil was mostly angry (not just grumpy, but unpleasantly angry), Joshua was anxiety riddled and spent so much of the book sad. I felt the author failed to make me understand why Joshua and Neil were so obsessed with each other. She told us they were, but I never saw why. In fact,
Spoilerthe romance I was rooting for, and the one that was the sweetest, was between Joshua and Lee
.

In the end, I didn't really connect well with either main character and never felt much emotional impact from the story. Except for Lee. He was character I most connected with and felt emotional about.

This book had all the potential to be a great read: I mean topics like reincarnation, once in lifetime love, premonition dreams, medical nanotechnology... And it was a good story line, if only Neil was a more likable character. His bluntness really got on my nerves at times. His pining and waiting didn't excuse him for all his petulant and rude behavior. It was almost unbelievable his mother could love him as much as she did and he could be so patient and sweet with Joshua. The ending was really typical for the way Neil always ran his mouth. Joshua is my hero for never stop loving Neil and wanting to put up with this kind of behavior.

Spoiler That proposal really said it all, who ruins it like that just because they planned a different kind of proposal?

Saw On Tiktok
This book was an okay read, not the best book but definitely not the worst book I’ve ever read either.

Well that was weird. Weird but good. And hot! Dr Neil Green is a beast in the sheets.

Joshua Stouder is still in the closet when he falls for his older, nerdier next door neighbour Dr Neil Russell. But tragedy strikes and Neil is taken away from him.

He learns to love again with Lee and they marry.

Meanwhile a boy is born who remembers his life with Joshua. He plans to continue the research work carried out by Dr Russell into nanites. And that’s where it gets a bit weird. Baby Neil is the re-incarnation of the other Neil. Nanites are some strange things that cure illnesses. I decided to just go with it rather than over think it. Accept it as fiction and move on, after all Hogwarts doesn’t exist and I just went along with the whole wizarding world thing.

Neil and Joshua were always meant to be together.

“You’re the reason for my existence. Joshua, you’re my everything. I’ll find you in any given lifetime.”

So the whole sci-fi thing isn’t normally my bag but this book was really entertaining and the sex scenes were so very, very hot.

I loved this book. I am such a sucker for a good, angst-ridden love story. This one did not disappoint. A small cast of well-realized characters. It was, I think, my first Leta Blake book and I will be back for more.
