Me gustó mucho la historia, porque es un giro inesperado a la historia tan conocida de la cenicienta y es muchísimo más actual , atendiendo a lo que se maneja en la actualidad.

omg this was so perfect. it was so cute and fluffy and had me blushing and giggling. i've been in a slump and so i listened to the majority of this on audiobook. i only actually read the last 60ish pages.

i've always had a soft spot for cinderella and cinderella retellings and this one includes a bachelor like reality show which is so fun because i also love books about reality TV. the thing that was THE MOST nice about the cinderella aspect of this book was the fact that the stepmother and sisters weren’t evil. they genuinely cared about cindy and it was an adorable relationship.

i could see this one becoming a comfort read <3

“Don't you see how belittling this is! I'm not brave for wearing a dress. I'm just living!”

“Choose what makes you happy. Things, places, people. Only choose the ones that bring that delight to you. Don’t be a hostage to duty or obligation. I didn’t carry you and birth you and raise you to waste your precious life on anything except unbridled joy. Choose joy.”

“The future isn’t exclusive, it’s inclusive”

Fantastic Fairy Tale Retelling

I am in love with everything about this book. The characters are fantastic, likeable and relatable. The story is on point with the original story while making it modern and it’s own.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a feel good romantic read.

Definitely enjoyed another a Cinderella retelling. The bachelor take and having a plus sized Cinderella were unique concepts to the original story. I thought it was different that stepmother and stepsisters weren't necessarily evil and it felt more fluffy with different focuses on aspects of Cindy and Henry. Being more focused on her figuring out her career. The ending fell flat for me but I still enjoyed the overall story.

I had such a good time reading If the Shoe Fits! The main character is plus size, and delightfully confident (I read another book last year with a plus size MC with internalized fatphobia and it was difficult at times). Anyway, I felt much better about If the Shoe Fits, and I really liked Cindy. I think this is the first time I've ever seen a Cinderella story in which the family mostly got along. It's definitely different. I loved the reality TV environment & the main characters' relationship.

I'm going to make a vague comment to avoid spoilers - the ending doesn't really stick the landing, and it was too rushed. I also have some questions about the way things worked out, but it's fine.

I loved this book, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next books in the series.

Content notes - main character experiences grief and fatphobia
