A white lady + wine + large windows and a Zoom lens = the cops are getting called. A tale as old as time.

Dnf'd after chap 13. Might be a me problem. I'm just not a triller person. Also don't like how women are written in this book. Nothing malicious, just mocking, I felt.

*a tiny tiny spoiler*
A minor inconsistency: when jane Russell's son came by, she thought him 15, and then when he clarifies he's about to be seventeen in a month or so, she thinks he looks older. is this on purpose, am I missing something?

I really liked this book throughout all of it, which is rare. But for this book, there wasn't really a part of the book which annoyed me. My only issue was some of the characters pmo but I liked the main character. The plot twists were unexpected and the ending was good; overall it was a very good and fairly unique crime novel.

I enjoyed this book. I would have given it 5 stars but I felt that it was too overly descriptive at times and added no value. There were some surprising twists and some things were predictable.

I couldn’t get my bearings for the first 100 pages. Not sure if I liked the outcome at the end! Otherwise, it was a quick read.

I loved this thriller. It unravels a mystery with a woman who is afraid of going outside. You get a fun dose of an unreliable narrator, which I always love. I'm excited to read more A.J. Finn.

Very quick fun beach read hooked enough to fly through some parts surprising others not so much nice to get out of a slump!
