This one’s about a woman whose coworker goes missing and after going to her house to look for her, discovers a bunch of blood and calls the police, and as a result becomes the prime suspect. This one was even more predictable than the last one and I figured out the twist very early on so that put a bit of a damper on things. I also similarly didn’t end up really caring much about any of the characters and they all suuucked for different ways so that was not the most fun. So, overall, same score as the last one I think. Gonna take a break from her books and come back to them later cus these haven’t been as good as some of her others.

I saw so many reviews mention it was too heavy on the turtles, and I thought how bad could it be? BAD.

The only thing I enjoyed about this book was buddy reading it with two of my friends.
I was pretty bummed I didn't enjoy this book more. I feel like Freida is usually a hit but this just fell flat for me. I couldn't get past all the turtle talk, it was pretty comical for me. I will say I didn't see the twist coming at the end so that was a shock for me & the only thing that led to the 3 star rating for me. l've seen a ton of 5 star reviews for this book so maybe my copy was just different or I just didn't like turtles enough

Very predictable and a little too slow in my opinion. Definitely not my favorite Freida book.
