Parker,

If you love her so much, then how could you let her make out with someone else while she sat on your lap? If you love her some much, how could you let someone else touch her?

Sorry to break it to you that what you had was just a wild attraction but never love.

This book was already boring when it didn’t have a plot. It basically ended 40% in when they were reunited. After that, there was no reason to stay apart. Except to waste words and an unnecessary threesome. I just wanted heartwarming romance, not some kinky shit otherwise I'd have picked up an erotic romance. Plus that came out of nowhere. They were presented as normal people and suddenly their exhibitionism came out of nowhere.

I loved Nova and Parker so much! I couldn't put this one down. While I loved the first book in this series, this one was even better! I can't wait for more in this series and I need Rae's story!!

considering the amount of deeply cringy dialogue, which is one of the biggest unforgivable sins for me, this is a super high rating. i thoroughly enjoyed this story, it's the kind of angst i love, and i just wanted them to be happy. i especially cannot wait for rae & austin's story next!

This covers so many different tropes- second chance, stepbrother, past trauma, rockstar- that I wasn't sure what to make of it, but I absolutely LOVED it. I got sucked in from the first page and read it straight through to the end. I usually struggle with stories that weave the past with the present in alternating chapters, but it's done here so adeptly that I actually enjoyed that. Plus, it added to the suspense and angst as you build up to the twists and turns as you follow along on Nova and Parker's journey from young love, to reconnecting as adults and moving past hurt and trauma to rediscover love again.

This dealt with some heavy topics, but did it so well. I loved the emotions and angst we experience as we follow them on their path- such a well written book! Now I can't wait for the next one - the brief glimpse we get of what is to come with the next couple was so short but had me laughing out loud!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and have voluntarily left an honest review.

Blame it on the Tequila is the second installment in the Blame it on the Alcohol series. Featuring the forbidden, second chance rockstar romance of Nova and Parker. Nova is an artist and Parker a rockstar.

As teenagers and step-siblings, their feelings and love was so hard to act on. They bonded over their love for music and art. One tragic incident separated Nova and Parker. Fast forward, 5 years later, one drunken night led them to meet again. Their story jumps between the present and the past.

ReRead #1 - 11.06.2021

4 stars *Audiobook*

I can't believe it's been two years since I've read this book.
I still really enjoyed Blame It on the Tequila and it satiated my craving for an angsty second-chance Romance. But it wasn't 4.5/5-stars this time around, tbh.
It could be a combination of my taste having slightly changed, having read so many other romances since then, and because I've listened to the audiobook instead of picking up the ebook again.
Nonetheless, this book is perfect for people who crave some angsty second-chance romance with plenty of spice and an MMC trying to win back the love he could never have.

One of my favorite second-chance rockstar romances!

Second-chance and a groveling MMC are my favorite tropes. Combining this with the FMC going on tour with her former step-brother turned rockstar was just the icing on the cake.

Fiona also built incredible tension, and their chemistry was explosive!

Definitely my favorite book out of the series!

I didn’t love this one. I love the taboo step sibling trope but I’m not a fan of rock star romance. Also I didn’t vibe with the chemistry. I felt like this book was trying too hard honestly. Just wasn’t for me but I could see why other people may enjoy it.
