Update: just finished re-reading for the second time. There were so many things that I didn't catch before, and it's just enlightening and heartbreaking at the same time.

I just need to gather myself. This book just body slammed me into oblivion like a level 100 Pikachu would to a bug-catcher's level 10 caterpee.

2nd RTC.

Re-read and both books are still 10 stars for me.

Possible spoilers ahead.

A nice conclusion to a beautiful romance. However, the book should have ended earlier when Sisyphus was captured. The minor conflicts that come after just feel like the author is trying to hit a word count.

I loved Persephone's growth in Destroyer of Light and how she stepped up in her role as Queen of the Underworld.  Persephone's strength shined in this book, she became more assertive and stood up to her mother.  Persephone and Hades' growth together as King and Queen of the Underworld was amazing.  This was a great second book.
