Extremely funny, arguably the funniest book I've ever read. Not sure how much of the credit for this comes from the author for writing the jokes or the fact that the narrator I listened too had the perfect voice for telling them.
I loved that this book felt like a warped fairly tale but with the traditional roles reversed. I thought the stuff with the spores was really inventive and I loved the world building by having characters from outside the world such as Hoid and the dr show up. This book definite felt like it was coming in Hoid's voice.
The jokes about Hoid lacking taste should not have been as funny as they were.

It’s definitely a very whimsical book and cozy book, ideal for an inbetween read. The reason for a 3.75 for me is because I unfortunately guessed a big part of the plot quit early on, which didn’t make the story less amusing - but did take some “wondering” away from it. At some parts it also felt a little too slow (I love slow/medium paced books) but could’ve been sped up a little here and there. Adore the characters and their development in finding themselves through trials and tribulations.

This might be my favourite new book of the year so far. I haven’t read any Brandon Sanderson before this, and I will definitely be reading more from now on.
This story is heartwarming, imaginative, magical and full of humour. I loved every page.
