A fun military action adventure that is limited by its bland characters
This book was essentially Tom Clancy thinking of the most effective way to kill the most people and then devising a team to stop that. He did a good job and it's a lively adventure.
Growing up with action (specifically HK gangster) movies, there's a part of me that really loves action/adventure whether it's in movies or video games.
This novel totally reads like a video game. the one major downside is the crazy/evil environmentalists in the book. But other than that I really like the strategy of executing each mission and the characters (although I think the main reason I like Clark is because of the way Willem DaFoe played him in Clear and Present Danger, same goes with liking the Jack Ryan books because of Harrison Ford- Ben Afflek and Alec Baldwin just didn't do it for me)
