My husband owns every Tom Clancy book known to man. And so I, too, own every Tom Clancy book known to man. When we were dating, in an attempt to understand his literary stylings (and also wanting to seem "cool" to this not-so-talkative boy), I asked for his recommendation of the best Clancy book for me to read. He took quite some time to think it over and came up with this selection, saying it wasn't too "technical" and was very "team oriented." Did he know me or what?
For a humanities major, this was a decent read. Not a lot of techno-babble jargon, some decent character background, definitely plot driven. Mostly it's great to hear someone who likes Clancy novels talk about the crossover characters and plot: they can get very excited.

Started off with promise, waffled and went downhill. Some brutal descriptions, an unfulfilling ending and waning action, made this not such a great read.

What a book. Though some of the plot points seem a little far-fetched, Tom Clancy manages to horrify and entertain at the same time. The horrifying part is how real these terrorist attacks seem in today's world.
I binge read this years ago while depressed in college.

Long long long. Plot is simple but add on parts make the story convoluted. It could have been reduced to 1/4 of current size. I am supper annoyed by the main characters that are shooting to perfection and their self righteous attitude. Gaslighting vegetarians, environmentalists, pet lovers, global warming, you would think the book was written by a 16 year boy suer red wing and who does not “ believe” in vaccine. Inferior product. The last book I will ever buy and read from Tom clancy.
