Felt a bit rushed towards the end but all in all the sex scenes were nice but you hate the main character

Good lord, I was not prepared for my first read by B.B. Reid to go off like it did. In The Gray was so freaking amazing, it had so many different tropes and a HUGE plot twist that I never saw coming, but I couldn't stop reading. I am so in love with Atlas and Rowdy that it came out of nowhere and I am sad that their story ended. I really hope we may get more glimpses of them in the future!

Must read!!!

This was so good and angsty! I knew off top that Rowdy was going to be off his rocker, but I don't think he expected to run into someone who literally had nothing to lose. The character development and blooming of the storyline was everything. Even though some side characters had interesting stories, I appreciated the author keeping the focus on a specific couple!!!!

One thing I have to keep in mind that when reading a book your morals may not align with what's going on. It doesn't make it a bad book it makes it that books story. NOW....into this book there were times where all I could do was scrub my hands down my face. For a while as this book went on I could not for the life of me figure out where this story was going and why she was looking for these men. The aggressiveness of somebody trying to force you to have sex behind a dumpster caught me off guard. Then the age difference...wasn't too bad but still. Now into finding out this may be your daughter and still...OK. I still don't know about Golden he was so mysterious lol. There has to be a story there. Ruen just didn't seem to have a place here in this story. Rowdy having sex with her didn't either. It just seemed so out of place. But dang them having 7 kids in the end was wild. Oh, Not to mention the Pee. That was wiiiiiiiiiillllllddddd.

Some drama in books just don’t be needed.

The book was already dramatic cause everybody was irrational but yes let’s throw in a dramatic ass plot twis that really PISSSSEDD ME OFF!

I mean I was ready to give this book 4⭐️s then here comes the bullshit. Then had the nerve to rush the ending

Girl not in the mood hang up on you

This book…this book…how do I even put it into words?

I’ll be honest, at first I wasn’t sure it was for me. I just couldn’t relate to any of the characters at all and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get into the story.

However, a couple more chapters and I was hooked!

Rowdy was absolutely certifiable. Shoot first, never ask questions. If he wanted something, he would take it. By force if necessary. And that included Atlas. I mean their very first encounter he basically tried force some dubcon on her. First encounter!

But Atlas was no pushover. She may have been 16 years his junior. She may not have grown up surrounded by violence. But somehow she was feisty AF and refused to back down from Rowdy’s crazy ass.

They actually made the perfect match. He drew out her inner lunacy, and she tempered him.

OMG when you get to the bit that explains the title though! Prepare for the shock factor.

I guess there were a few little shock factor moments, especially towards the end of the book.

I’m not sure how I feel about

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!

What did I just read?!? I need to start looking at reviews, reading the synopsis or some before diving into books because W T F!

Let me first say I don’t even know how I even finished this. The things happening in this book was so bad that I couldn’t stop reading. Honestly don’t know how it has so many great reviews.

Atlas Beck receives a letter telling her to basically uproot her life to go this place because it has an answer to a mystery that she needs to know. There she meets Rowdy, who is old enough to be her damn daddy and PLOT TWIST NEWSFLASH, she learns that’s it’s a possibility that he may be but that doesn’t stop them from still having s3x and her calling him daddy and I don’t mean like father.

The EXCESSIVE AGE GAP, the choking, the biting WTF WAS THAT ABOUT??? That man is old enough to be her daddy.

And that 3some with them two, and Ruen wtf was that? & WHY?

I said what the fuck so many times reading this. It’s laughable.

I enjoyed no parts of this book, not even the spice, well maybe just a little but also like yuck because of the age gap. 😭 It wasn’t an enjoyable read. Why did I keep reading you may ask? Because I had to see it through & I regret it. Should have DNF the first 10%.

All in all, in good faith I could not recommend this book, unless you like stuff like this but even still I wouldn’t advise.

This book is one of those ones you read once and try to forget you ever read it!
