I don't have words for this book. This is BB Reid's first release in a while and it was worth the wait. It had the signature darkness and detail. The characters are so engaging and often questionable. It is difficult to like these characters at times, yet you still find yourself drawn into their lives and invested in the outcome whether morally grey or not.

I cannot say too much plotwise as this is a book best read without too much detail in advance. Just trust in BB and in these characters. Rowdy is an alpha of epic a**hole proportions, but once his heart is won he is a psychotically protective and devoted partner. He just needs some encouragement along the right path. Atlas is a bundle of conflicting emotions. She is on a journey of identity, acceptance and healing. Her time with the 4 Kings gives her new direction and a new understanding of life and herself.

This book is morally grey in many ways. Heed the trigger warnings. This book won't be for everyone. But if you love a bit of darkness, a lot of aggressive love/passion/heat, crazy alphas and a feisty FMC then this is a brilliant read. The passion and aggression between Atlas and Rowdy is 5 star writing. And the whole world including all the side characters is so addictive. I could live with these characters for many many more books.

This book is a solid 3.5 stars. It had potential to be more, but it got a little too crazy and muddled towards the ending for me. I absolutely loved Rowdy! He was the best thing going in this book. When he was first introduced, he was a bit much and took getting used to, but by the end, I loved him. There were some inconsistencies that made me not rate this higher, and I'm just a stickler for details and sticking to what was said earlier in the book.

The first thing was how Atlas and her moms relationship seemed so damaged and she stated that her mom used her away and couldn't care less where she was or wouldn't answer if she tried to reach out.... Then, by the end, the tone of their relationship was mentioned much different as if her mom was so great and that love was always there. I was confused. Also, this is miner but bothered me still, when Ruens sister baked snickerdoodles Atlas didn't want it cause she hated cinnamon but when Rowdy fixed Atlas tea the way he said he knew she liked it had cinnamon in it. Small things like that kind of annoy me because if you go out your way to make your character not like something, then I want you to stand on that detail and not forget about that later.
