DNF. Didn’t get very far. Sad. Skipped the short stories about the lest things. Don’t think I’ll go back to it. So many other wonderful books.

This was a cute story with a unique premise. It was an easy read with a feel-good ending.

The story was written with a bunch of little plots (about the lost objects) strewn in amongst the main storyline, which really added character to the book.

Storyline was scattered and it’s a shame the author repeatedly made menopausal women the butt of negative comments.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a sweet story and it kept me entertained. It has a similar feel to The Sugar Queen. A hopeful book and feel good ending. I would recommend it.

I found this book to be charming and heartwarming. The story is quite original and shows the emotional links that can come with the most simple of material objects. Some holding happy memories that create sentimental values and some sad that perhaps when reunited with, or even just reflected upon, can stir trauma or unresolved emotions.

The book takes you on a journey, telling of a variety of relationships and how beauty can evolve and grow within them and that it’s never too late to heal. A nice easy read with a lovely ending.

This is the second book in my life that I just couldn’t finish. I would pick it up and read a page or two and hope that it would get better, but it never did for me. The Keeper of Lost Things sounded so magical and the description of ghosts and four legged friends enchanting. I got to page 120 without reading anything of the sort. Its just a cute but sad story that is very very dull about lost objects and their imagined history. It’s been over a month of me trying to finish this book and each time I pick it up I end up putting it back down a few pages later. The backstory and setting up the story has just droned on.

Maybe I’ll finish it one day... maybe I won’t.

It’s amazing and romantic in a way to have this book be the 30th book of this year. See, I put up 30 books to be read this year for my reading challenge, simply because I’ll be 30 (I already turned 30 April of this year). Sadly, it has been a gruesome journey just to finished the reading challenge. I usually finished my reading challenge well into the middle of the year, but this time around I almost failed, having completely finished the challenge well into October. Don’t matter, point is I did finished the challenge and I’m glad the book that got me to finished the challenge was this book.

First off, did you see the cover of this book? So beautiful! Gorgeous! Like, I can’t even begin to tell how beautiful and yet so simple. Honestly, I wasn’t hoping much from this book, I only decide to read it because of the cover. And it took me awhile until I got the hang of the story. There was nothing lovable about the characters, I couldn’t connect at all with Laura, and I genuinely thought she was supposed to be the main character of the book.

I genuinely thought the focus of the story would be Laura and her quest to keep the missing things that Anthony had kept, but nope. The main story, in my own opinion at least, is actually the story that within Laura’s. I don’t know how to best explain this, but this story is incredibly bittersweet. It’s bitter in the way that it’s about losing someone, but it is sweet in the way the whole entire book was weaved slowly by the people who are incredibly oblivious about everything. Gosh, I suck at explaining it.

The point that I’m trying to get across is the fact that Eunice and Bomber’s story was so sweet and romantic but not in a cliched way. I remember having finished this book, I am overcome with feelings of sadness, but also feeling happy in the way that everything is so sweet. Oh, and the dogs in the book are so cute!

Okay, you know what? I suckat this book review. To be fair, had I done it as I finished the book, I would have done a better job, alas I postponed it for close to two weeks, so it is incredibly my fault for writing this awful book review. Please forgive my lack of trying, but trust me when I said this book is incredible.

I will end this mess of a book review with a solid YES! YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY READ THIS BOOK.
