This was silly and fun! I wasn't a huge fan of the domineering stuff, or the towel dropping, or the
Willow POV and storyline

Oh man what an awesome story. The characters are witty, the scenes are hot as hell, and the pace of the book is off the charts.

This hot standalone novel is about Delilah Maddox, who is an up and coming sports reporter whose job it is to cover the local NFL team, the New York Steel. This is a job she has been waiting for. In her new position, she handles the locker room interviews. A tough job in a male dominated field. She does fine until she comes to the star quarterback, Brody Easton. Who during her on-air interview decides to drop his towel letting her see why the ladies call him Subway. Gathering her wits, she completes the interview with her dignity in tact, barely. This was the start to a very interesting cat and mouse relationship between her and Brody.

I have to stop here and say that Brody is one of the hottest book boyfriends I have read in awhile. Brody is a man who knows what he wants and that's Delilah. His way of pursuing her is off the charts hot. I loved his character because he was unabashedly honest. He held nothing back. He didn't hide things because of fear of rejection or judgement. He is a take or leave it kind of guy who is as loyal as they come. Delilah is a great match for Brody because she didn't let his off color comments throw her. The girl had some great comebacks. When she finally gives in, the “ohmygod” hotness between them burned up the pages. She gave as good as she got.

This courtship did not go without its challenges. They both had been hurt in the past. They both were protecting their hearts from being hurt again. It's this fear that had held them back but had kept me reading.

This is one of the best sports romance stories I have read in a long time. The story moved at a nice pace. The fact that I read this in one night is a testament to how much I loved the story, the characters and the content. If you're looking for a hot NFL QB to spark your imagination and make the final weeks of the NFL season that much hotter, you need this book.

I think one of the things that I enjoy most about Ms. Keeland's stories is the depth and maturity of the characters. She seems to be able to do this in a way that allows the stories to move quickly so that you don't want to put it down. Thanks for another great one!

Sweet but that's it.

I admit it, I started this book because of the cover. I liked the first 50% of it, but then another character and POV got introduced which I did not like at all and which changed the whole story. The second half of the book unfortunately did not really appeal to me.
The male main character was nice and a big softie but I felt kind of indifferent towards the female main character.

4.5 stars. I read this in less than 24 hours. Such a good book. I was literally up reading till 4:30 am. Loved the characters and the plot. My only thing is that I absolutely hated Willow. I felt like she honestly should've just never come back into Brody's life once she saw he was happy. That was a bitch move to get involved and maybe I just don't have enough sympathy for her but you don't ruin someone else's happiness for your own tbh no excuse (Maybe I'm just young and don't understand). But I loved all the twists. Their chemistry is adorable and feels so real. Would read again

Szeretek tőle olvasni mert mindig meghozza a kedvem, meg Vi könyveit darálom általában

I was quite puzzled with this book.

It starts like a nice quick romance with a cocky and dirty-speaking H, moving on at a fast pace with nice witty banters. Loved it.

And then I got confused ... We get to understand that Brody is a lot deeper than the cocky front he keeps showing to everyone, we get glimpses of his past, of his first love ... and that was fine.

Mild spoilers ahead

Then she reappears in his life, and I figured that was the "angst factor" of the book. Again, ok...

Until we started getting chapters from Willow's point of view, I thought it was strange, but why not... but what made me start feeling off-balance was that while we read how she felt about him, and, to some extent, how Delilah felt about Brody's past love coming back, we never really got to read about Brody's feelings.

And then things start moving, and suddenly we don't hear about Willow anymore except second-hand in a very rushed way.
Which left me wondering : why spend so much time developing a secondary character, even bringing her to the front with her own POV and her own stories with her neighbor, and then just drop the whole thing ?

This book really felt like reading two different stories : one between Brody and Delilah, and one between Brody, Marlene and Willow. Except that while you would have expected the two to mix through Brody, they never did : we never really got the end of the second one, and as for Delilah, I sort of understood that the other story was not really what caused her decisions . "Sort of" because frankly I could not manage to understand her mood changes.

So here I am : puzzled and confused.
