DNF at 50% when I hit the totally unneeded POV from a character that should not have gotten a POV at all. In fact, I thought she was dead. Anyway, I also realized that we did not know how the Hero felt about the Heroine at all, since his POV did not talk about her ever. I felt no connection, and was just done.

actually I liked the characters and the whole reporter and football player story.
But I started skipping chapters once the third party got her own chapters . I was really annoyed with her and thought she got too much space of the book.
The hero and heroine actually handled the situation well and it turned out ok, but I couldn't enjoy the book as much because of Willow and her bla bla bla

Brody & Delilah. Standalone. Told from dual POV’s. Let me just start by saying, Brody......Yummy!!! What a guy. His interactions with Marlene and Grouper were priceless. Alzheimer’s is not easy and Brody was just so patient and loving. I fell in love with him especially because of those scenes. Then when you add in the chemistry with Delilah and his bedroom skills, you get a swoon worthy guy. Delilah was easy to like. With her background and love of football, it was easy to see why they had such good chemistry in and out of the bedroom. They had a mature relationship with no cheating and no big secrets that they kept from each other. They were honest about past relationships and current situations. The story moves along well and keeps the reader engaged. It has a HEA and an epilogue. Overall, a good story.

“That old man is a few Brady’s short of a bunch.”
“I’m like fungus, I grow on you.”
“I’m lucky to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.”
“ I had thought peace was a place where there was no turbulence or fear. Where there were no highs and lows and where happiness was found in the calm at the center. But at that moment, I finally realized peace wasn’t about avoiding things. It was about making the choice to live life with all it’s chaos around you, and in the midst of it all, having calm in your heart.”

This was an easy listen that follows mostly one POV, the FMC Delilah and has two others sprinkled in, Brody the MMC and one other. The added drama of the last POV that comes in after the half way point was probably unnecessary although I did find her interesting at least. The Baller was a good sports romance with enjoyable smutty moments. It was a bit too insta everything for me but I did enjoy how their interactions began with a towel drop! There's one particular scene was touching and the words spoken heartfelt and beautiful.
Good romance, worth listening to!

This was a solid 3.5 star read for me.
Vi Keeland wrote the perfect boy boyfriend and his perfectly matching girlfriend.
The entire first half of the book was fun and sexy. Boy chases girl. Girl sizes him up and finally decides to let him catch her. Later in the book there were some really emotional moments that had me wiping tears. There were also some tummy twisting "oh no" moments. It was a really solid contemporary romance read.
Do not read the spoiler below if you haven't read the book yet as it will reveal too much of the story.
It always makes me wonder about the author's beta readers or editor. It would seem to me that they should be pointing out these things to an author.

There were a couple of parts I wanted more from. 1. D's interactions with Michael left a whole lot of blank spaces. He didn't live up to the dire warnings we heard about him in the beginning. We didn't see how he took being left by the wayside by D. 2. Willow's and Brody's relationship wrap up needed so much more. Since we got to meet her from her POV I felt kind of left out when I didn't get to see their talk or feel their closure. I also thought D was a little too easily convinced the situation she saw in his hotel room was innocent. It always makes me wonder about the author's beta readers or editor. It would seem to me that they should be pointing out these things to an author.

I LOVE Brody. Absolutely love him! Men who exude confidence and wit really steal my heart. And the mouth on this man, ho-ly shit
