This book was fine. I get that with these shorter books the author has to speed up the characters getting to together, but “I love you in 5 days” is really fast. I did enjoy the MMC encouraging the FMC to be more independent and trust herself. There was more sex scenes than I thought there would be (~6), but they were juicy so I didn’t mind.

good

It’s okay.
The book was okay but was a bit corny towards the end.
1. All of this stuff in the book happened within a week or two. Including falling in love.
2. Xavier trying to convince Corinne that Riley isn’t right for her because of his lack of sexual prowess. That is so juvenile.
3. I do like the relationship between all the siblings and X’s friends in California.

What should’ve been the perfect plan for revenge and payback backfires, and turns into something more than either one of them would have imagined.

Xavian is a cool and calculating man who’s having his world messed with on both personal and professional levels. His best friend betrayed him in the worst possible ways and now trust is something that does not come too easily to Xavien. When the perfect plan for revenge falls into his lap, he decides to go all in, not realizing what exactly that statement entails.

Corinne is trying to live her life the way that she wants to live it and not the way others are dictating it. She has founded a business that is in dire need of expansion, and has the money to do it. Only her older brother will not allow her to access her funds. He feels that he knows what’s best for her and she can’t make her own decisions. Corrine comes up with an elaborate plan to not only get her inheritance, but Innoway get back at her brother for other things that he’s done whether she knows it or not.

Get the popcorn, ready ladies this one has got some drama, some angst and a lot of chemistry that gets more intense by the minute. More Than Desire You, the new release of the More Than Words Series follows the intense, roller coaster ride that Xavien and Corinne have found themselves on. This was one of those books that I knew from the moment I started reading I knew this was going to be an intense ride. There are many moments that could have the reader wondering if the scene is a ruse or it’s real. Proving that a fake engagement is real is extremely intimate and intense and somewhere in those very beginning moments, they easily cross that line. Baggage from the past and annoyance from the present has a lot of push and pull with these two as their chemistry intensifies. This is not an easy road but we do get a very intense happily ever after.

The moment Corinne walks into Xavian's office the last thing he is thinking of is a plot to take revenge on his enemy that just happens to be Corinne's brother Parker. But revenge is a dish best served warm and with the sparks coming from the two of them this will be the sweetest and hottest story you will read in quite sometime. Can Xavian open his heart and find that sometimes love conquers all? Or will revenge take over where his heart should be? Shayla Black once again proves to her readers why love, passion and a little bit of angst is something that she molds into a masterpiece. Not only does she provide panty melting scenes but also reinforces that love and family are top priority in order to find your HEA.
