I liked this book way better than the first. I had a lot of feelings about the first book and was not sure about Johnny. This book was much better, although much sadder. Everyone is falling apart and trying to deal with the loss of Katie. I thought Mahra's story was great and I enjoyed finally hearing about Cloud. No spoilers so I cannot say a lot, but this is very emotional and gives a glimpse into how people react differently while dealing with a loss and to life's curve balls in general. Great read.

This was a very well written sequel. It was very touching emotionally, dealing with some heavy topics like the loss of a family member, dealing with grief, addiction, trauma, and abuse.
The main focus of this book is on Tully and Marah, but we also get a more in depth look at Tully's mom Dorothy, which was sad and enlightening.
Overall, it was a beautiful story.

Kristin Hannah never disappoints. Beautifully written sequel! Loved the approach she used to intertwine the two books and complete the story. She didn’t leave any strings hanging.
