This book was slow moving, but I loved every second of it. This book is a beautiful depiction of friendship and the power that comes from believing in others. Fredrik Beckman has a way of writing books that evoke such deep emotions. One paragraph could have completely ripped my heart out while the next I’m laughing out loud.

You can’t help but fall in love with these characters. I was excited to read this and struggled between not wanting to put it down and wanting to “savour it” because I didn’t want it to end. I’m glad I have my own copy because I know I’ll come back to read it again.

My friends will transport you back to your childhood, to your first group of friends who you promised you would be friends forever. It is funny, and charming, and heartfelt. I absolutely loved this book and I wish I could read it again for the first time!
