There was just so much wrongness in this book. I feel like CoHo was basically romanticizing cheating and trying to get the reader to have sympathy for cheaters. I don't see how Ridge and Sydney's relationship goes deeper than lust. The only "right" thing CoHo did was not kill off Maggie. I would have been pissed.
Last thing - Sydney said she wanted to spend some time living alone for awhile and Ridge knew this, yet after things with Maggie ended he only gives her 3 months before injecting himself back into her life and basically demanding she be with him immediately. I don't think that's a reasonable amount of time and it's not a respectful amount of time to be single after how long he had been with Maggie.

Maybe Someday
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Trigger warnings:
Cheating
Seizure

I feel like what I’m about to say is “somewhat” controversial, so remember that this is how I interpreted the book and my own opinion, though feel free to share your own in the comment section <3

This book killed me but I’m back from the dead to write this review. These are my thoughts presented in a chaotic mess, as always:

It was extremely easy to judge Hunter and Tori in the beginning of the book, but when the main characters turned into the people they originally despised I didn’t judge them…? Who am I and why did I not feel the second-hand guilt?

In the first half, Warren was biased, and he should have seen the case from both sides. Though that was difficult because he’s Ridge’s best friend. But it was annoying as h*ll, but excusable.

I’ve read people say that Sydney is annoying, but I don’t agree. Her actions are normal considering the circumstances, though some of them might not be easy to justify. But love is a complicated thing, especially when both sides are toeing the same line. She isn’t responsible for Ridge’s actions that he carried out based off of his feelings. She is however responsible for all she decided to do.

This book is the definition of right-person-wrong-time, just look at the fu*king title: Maybe Someday.

“His eyes study mine for several moments, and the way he’s looking at me makes me hate myself, because I love it so much.”

I- anyways-

Moreover, not me coming to the realization that I’m reading romance for the emotional trauma so I can feel something, and not only for the romance…

I either complain about not connecting with the characters, or I’m too emotionally invested. Because I should be concerned about me sobbing at 3 am staring at 26 letters stocked differently…right?

When I’m reading I’m either looking at it from the outside, like watching a movie, or experiencing it. That means I’m feeling what the characters feel, I’m so invested that I forget I exist. And this happened wile reading this book, so imagine all the heartbreak I’m going through when I haven’t even been in a real relationship myself. It’s overwhelming, to say the least-

Update: I thought the songs weren't there but they actually are and that made me so happy! So go check out Griffin Peterson right now!

i'm sorry but this book gives me the ick. first of all,
the cheating trope?
ugh, i hate it with a passion. second, how many times is sydney going to
'break into sobs'?
third, the way ridge acts around sydney,
like forcing words onto her hand when she's not listening to him,
doesn't sit right with me. thats my main problem with colleen hoover books. the way
the men act feels like borderline abuse, but like its like fmcs dont even notice.

This. Book. Is. Perfection. I honestly don't know what else to say about Colleen Hoover's books. I think if you like one, you like all of them. She's a freaking genius. Her stories are so deep and emotional and beautiful... I have never read something like Maybe Someday. It's so honest.

Well, I don't really know what to say, I don't think I could ever find the words to describe this book properly. I'll just end this review by saying that I absolutely loved it.

Tried to read it on my kindle a while ago then tried again to listen. Cannot excuse their behavior and the cheating sort of undertone. DNF at 90%
