It's a story centred around the mob, and so it touches on pretty much every cliché you could think of. The main character, Danny Ryan, experiences plenty of trauma throughout and while at the beginning of the book his rank is more of a solider for the Murphy's, by the end he's the leader. All things considered the pace moves very quickly, and I found once I picked the book up it was incredibly hard to put it back down. I found it intriguing enough that I'll definitely be continuing with the trilogy.

Really great book. Kept me at the edge of my seat, that it had me turn a page waiting to see what happened next. All in all, it was intriguing and a great read. Would read this again
