It took me a few chapters until I stopped cringing at the setting of the book. After I got used to it I was taken away by the writing. It was very good. No filler words or sentences (which I find very annoying, especially in the books of the same genre). There were questionable choices made by the main character, but I shouldn't read too much into it, because this is not that type of book. Overall a fun read, I finished it in one sitting.
