A very interesting look at a story that has been in the headlines for awhile. Hearing a first hand account of how NBC handled the whole saga is eye opening and discouraging all at the same time. In a time when the media is questionable at best this set in even more doubts.

5-stars (more really) to Farrow.
4-stars for the book
2.5-stars for the narration
This book reminded me of the films The Big Short and Bombshell in that it showed me what was happening all along, reveals massive amounts of coverups and/or attempts to keep things hidden/buried, and how bad it really was/is (it’s worse than you know).
I think this book could have been better with more editing AND if farrow wasn’t narrating. Normally I prefer when authors narrate their nonfiction but Farrows voice didn’t fit the information/tone/pacing. I was impressed with how well he does accents but it also manages to not work. The other issue was there are sometimes sound enhancements to the audiobook, which are great, but they aren’t consistent. More of that — especially if it helped make it sound more like a “podcast” would have greatly improved the listening experience.
That said, it is still fairly easily to listen to and fascinating (if not disenchanting ).

Thank God there are journalists out there who are willing to bring these stories to life. This was all over the place outing not just shitty behavior but a culture of perpetual abuses of power. Weinstein, Lauer, Trump, Epstein, Allen... and all the other names behind the scenes enabling abuse...this book covers it all.
I am knocking off one star because, unlike "She Said", the author inserted himself too much into the story and I could have done without that. That aside: you are a hero Ronan Farrow.

I want to return to it at a later time. Right now I’m not in the right headspace for the content. It seemed well written and researched, though.
