4.5⭐️ It's interesting to compare the first book SHE SAID and this one. Even thought the authors of SHE SAID broke the story first, they wrote about W. first, everyone somehow remembers and praises Ronan. I wonder why? Also, after having read one book after another i can compare how the investigation went for two teams.
For the female journalists from SHE SAID it was extremely hard to get witnesses and survives to talk. It took them months and months to get anywhere despite the fact that they had a very strong newspaper behind them
Ronan didn't describe any such difficulties talking to survivors. Everyone seemed to trust him more or less easily, even though there was no publisher to back him up, but a network with no proper segment dedicated for such a topic.

I think Ronan Farrow is amazing and an excellent investigative reporter. This book is infuriating in that I think it just scrapes the surface of the damage rich, powerful men have done. But what it scraped up is a stinking pile of rape, sexual abuse, misuse of power, entitlement to women’s bodies and time, lies, “bribes”, maligning, psychological torture, and so much more. It is mind boggling!
I have a serious issue with NBC and have trouble trusting what comes out of that news organization. I have more respect for Rachel Maddow after reading this book.
Such important information. I just hope the times are a’changin’. This cannot continue.

This book is extremely powerful, reading throw the chapters I could feel the despair, frustration and anxiety that Ronan felt during the time he work in this investigation. I felt so nauseous reading the interviews of the victims and really loved the professionalism and the way Ronan felt about the victims and how respectful he was with them. This book open my eyes to a rotten system that Was I know for me. And how the whole investigation reveal even how they control victims, how they keep them quiet for such a long time. Is shocking know that this people was allowed to keep committing crimes and how the spy agencies mix In the whole rotten and destructive control. My big admiration for Ronan who has the courage to put out the truth
An interesting book about a horrifying issue. I felt like it started to lose steam towards the end and I was struggling to stay engaged.
The book started out fantastic but lost its steam the last third of it. It became hard to follow because I was bored from the content.
