Simply amazing

I fell in love with Finn and Avery in Kathryn’s reader group. I enjoyed them so much I swore I’d already read Riptide. But I was wrong! This book gave me all the feels. Avery and her strong views but soft Heart underneath. Finn with his light hearted smiles and alpha side. They are perfect for each other and Kathryn wrote them perfectly. I highly recommend this book - and Kathryn’s other books as well!

Loved!

Avery is such a strong heroine and I really loved her. She was smart, ambitious, driven, head strong, and an overall badass. Finn was lovable, hot, easy going, but had an alpha side. His charisma came out of the pages, and I could picture his grin. The writing was great; you could picture yourself standing on the beach, paddling in the water, eating a breakfast burrito, and you could definitely hear Bob Marley. Great book that I definitely recommend.

Loved this book so much! Kathryn Nolan continues to impress me! If you like smart, steamy romances, I highly recommend her books.

Her ability to write protagonists who are opposites and yet so complementary is extraordinary. When I start reading her books, I genuinely wonder how such contrasting people will overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles - both personally and professionally. I know KN will always deliver a HEA, but it’s never a predictable roadmap to get there, and I appreciate and respect that such much.

What I loved:
•Complex main characters (a hippie surfer with a masters degree in ecology?? Yes please)
•Banter filled with tension
•Discussion on conservation vs development (KN always delivers smart arguments)
•Small beach town setting
•Smut smut smut

What I didn’t:
•Can’t think of a single thing, so….

Awesome

Where’s Walter? Even though this was first book written it’s last one I read. I wanted to save a known good author. Definitely not disappointed.

This was a little disappointing for me. So the careers or at least hers was interesting. I'm not a surfer so that part I can take it or leave it. But the enemies to lovers angle was pretty good here.

There are scenes that made me go wowie. And I liked the mix of control, he would be more dominant and then she'd flip it and she would be and I found myself enjoying that more than I would have expected.

I just really found I wasn't keen on Avery or Sal. And I just wasn't super invested in the story I didn't want her to win if that makes sense. Yeah I'm super conflicted about this.

On one hand super addictive couple. On the other a bit meh of a back story.

Good story. Too much politics for me. I would have like to see more of them together, on dates etc..
