A different narrator for this one. Still good, but not as good as Jonathan Keeble.

Overall the story is still captivating. But I felt a little surprised by Utrehd's calm acceptance of Guthrim's betrayal.

Wow what a book! As usual the author uses great detail in an parts of his books. Not just the battles.
The characters are shaping and you can see them mature.
I loved this book and will start the next one in the series.

Another good Cornwell tale. I enjoyed this book because of its plot progression, and growth for Uhtred. It ties up some plot strands from Book 1 and opens up for new developments in future installments. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series in time.
