This one is awesome! Great blend of action, art and dystopia. Might be a bit gory for some readers. There is an exploding head, FYI.

Wow. What a ride. For real, I felt like I took a hit of crush myself by the end of this trade! I picked this up feeling a little apprehensive. I'm not a fan of racing stories and hoped that the scifi element would make this a little more interesting. Luckily this story delivered. The competitive cycle racing plot line is still present but there are some twists and mysteries that makes this story so much more. Visually, this comic is stunning and the panels have an futuristic, interactive vibe that I really dig. The character work and writing is very solid. Overall this was a lot of fun and I'm ready to continue reading to see where the story goes.

I love the art style in this graphic novel; the colours are super vibrant and pop on every page. There is a lot of detail and care in every panel that makes the art very appealing for the eyes. I will admit the female characters do seem a little over sexualised at times though, (lots of short shorts and low tops). I didn’t necessarily find it a problem given the fact the characters had a lot more to them than just how they looked, but it something to note.

Motor Crush manages to build a world very quickly and with a lot of details, sometimes this can mean feeling a little lost in details but overall it works well. My difficulty is that at times a few things were rushed which meant I had to skip back to reread what I felt I had missed. Our lead Domino Swift was well written although at times I felt I lacked some understanding of her motivations or questioned her motive. A lot of this was resolved by the end of the first issue although I am unsure how much of it will be answered going forward. I especially loved the love interest for their personality and skill set.

I look forward to seeing where this series does and hopefully getting to see more of the beautiful art style.

Wow. Queer lady motorcycle racing? I'm sold. The art is really great in this, and the story leaves you with enough questions to make the wait for the next volume frustrating. I'm very excited about this series.

I normally don't like racing themed stories but this one is kick ass. Love the character design as well.

This issue was a little too slow for me, but the plot was incredibly unique and diverse, and the plot twist at the end is why I give this 4 stars.
