quite literally one of THE best Urban Fantasy Series to be written.

I started reading the Kate Daniels Series so many years ago I got through maybe 4 or 5 books before I eventually stopped for whatever reason. I've recently decided to pick up the series again - though this time it would be through an audio book, specifically the Graphic Audio Book. It's a version of the story that is fully and completely immersive - we get an entire cast speaking for every character, background music and sounds. It's the best and honestly the only way you should listen to a fantasy book.

I skipped the first book because I still remember the basics of this world and the characters introduced in the beginning. Kate and Curran (the main FMC and MMC) oh how I missed them! I forgot how entertaining and perfect they are with/for each other. I can't wait to continue reading the series (which is complete by the way) and catch up on everything i missed!

I still wasn't to into the story in this book and was more looking for the progress of two characters I liked in the first book. I will admit more interesting and amazing characters came into this book. Im still that invested into the characters that I will move onto the next book.

It was worth the read, I'll continue with the series, but it felt somehow empty at the same time. I hope it improves again from the next book.

I am enjoying this series. I love the strong FMC. I also like the "case of the week" formula. It reminds me of the early books in the Dresden Files series and the early books in the Anita Blake series. I enjoy the setting and the wide array of fantastic creatures.
