This book suffers from second book syndrome - if I have to read more about shiro and emi’s tepid romance I might die. The action scenes are well done though and I’d really love if this got adapted into a manga or anime.

♠ Va bene dai. Sarò onesta e ammetterò che il fatto che Shiro potesse essere Inari non mi era passato nemmeno per l'anticamera del cervello forse proprio per lo stesso motivo, stava cercando Inari senza sapere di essere lui. L'upgrade ovviamente è che in questo caso i suoi momenti quasi bipolari sono spiegati dal fatto che dentro di lui vivono effettivamente due personalità, Inari e Shiro. Ci stà.
♠ Ho dovuto rileggere almeno 4/5 volte il nome di Jorogumo perchè continuavo a leggerlo Onigumo e a tal proposito è fantastico rendermi conto di quanta mitologia giapponese io conosca/ricordi grazie ad Inuyasha.
♠ Però Emi, trovalo un cambio di vestiti decente. Possibile che questa tizia non riesca ad indossare un paio di pantaloni? Pure quando glieli procurano si ritrova sempre tra le mani dei kimono. Se poi pensiamo che questa c'ha i cazzi suoi in mezzo ai boschi, deve scalare cose, c'ha da ammazzà draghi a 8 teste e si ritrova a doverlo fare con un kimono che è la cosa più scomoda che possa esistere.
♠ Poi perlomeno Annette Marie ti da delle spiegazioni. Tipo perché Amaterasu può discendere solo al Solstizio, ti spiegano il piano di Izanami che c'ha senso, perchè è una stratega e ha fatto le cose per bene, no alla come viene viene che riesce a fare cose per puro culo o perchè i 'buoni' sono delle amebine.

3.5-4 stars. I can't make up my mind completely.
The pacing is too slow for my liking, especially in the beginning, but somehow I'm invested enough in the story to keep going. I love to watch how Emi grew from a sheltered girl who swallowed any lies to this strong, yet still vulnerable girl. I love to see how the others began to see that as well in her.
And the big revelation. It is hardly a revelation at all. I mean, it'sso obvious I've seen it coming from book 1. Anyway, I'm so curious what will happen next. There better be more and better romantic moments between Shiro and Emi!

Do not read in public, unless you have the strength of heart not to cry there. Or alternatively, the strength of heart to cry and not care that strangers will watch you sobbing and snuffling over this book.
