TW: loss of a parent, grooming (mentioned), parental abandonment

I must be in my cowboy era because I can't get enough of this series! I read these out of order thanks to NetGalley but it was so easy to follow along and know what was going down. And it was lovely to go back to the beginning and read about Rhett and Summer's story.

After Rhett loses a sponsor over some flippant words his agent sticks him with a glorified babysitter, Summer. But she quickly becomes much more than that, she's taking care of him, putting him through workouts, setting up home-run interviews, caring for his injuries. She takes care of him like no one in his life ever has. Summer is trying to prove her worth in her dad's company, she's always wanted to make him proud seeing as he's the only person in the world who has ever gave a damn about her. Rhett doesn't make it easy on her but she quickly finds herself having all types of feeling for the cowboy.

I found Rhett and Summer's chemistry so good right off the bat. I love how they took care of and looked out for one another once they got past the initial so called "enemies" part. Rhett is such a wild child dare devil but also has a lonely sensitive side he only shows to Summer. And Summer, my goodness this poor girl has been through it. Her mother doesn't stick around after giving birth to her, her step-mother and step-sister are literal nightmares, and she was groomed into a toxic ass relationship when she was only a teenager. The Canadian country life was a balm to her soul and I loved how the Eatons just gobbled her up and treated her as one of their own so quickly. Elsie Silver makes me want to visit the Wishing Well Ranch so bad, it just seems like a lovely place with such good people. Harvey Eaton is a show stealer and everyone deserves a dad/grandpa like him lol

Flawless was really easy to read and you don't want to put it down. The spice is well written and not cringy at all. I liked the growth of the characters and the whole family dynamic, I'm definitely continuing the series!

I enjoyed reading this book however I felt it was a little slow paced to begin with and then became very fast paced towards the end. I also feel that the conflict was resolved very quickly and could have been done slightly better, but I do love a happy ending so overall I enjoyed it

There was a lot of potential for the chemistry to develop between the two main characters. Unfortunately, they seemed to skip a lot of that emotional building. Weeks passed in the book with very little acknowledgment of the time lapse or the ways the characters were growing together throughout that time. Great family dynamics.
