What an absolute blast and joy to read. In the era of BookTok and BookTube and everybody having a platform it's super rare to find a random truly underrated fantasy book, but this absolutely fits the bill. It's basically The Witcher if The Witcher was fast-paced and good. It was very easy to read, which I appreciated, but it didn't let the worldbuilding or anything suffer because of that. The characters were all awesome, It was fun and fast paced but also there were pieces here and there where you can tell that there are some underlying themes and the author does have something to say. The dialogue was well written and engaging, the characters were also well written and felt real and engaging. I think this is a great magic and monsters book and more people should absolutely be reading it.

Fantastic book full of characters I’ve never run into in other books. I mean yes you have your heroes, but they don’t seem to come from the common tropes. They feel for each other and are related to each other in unexpected ways.
