Dieses Mal muss ich den Kritikern insofern zustimmen, als die Story wirklich Harry Potter ziemlich ähnlich ist. Es gibt genug Unterschiede und neue Konzepte, aber zwei Jungs und ein Mädchen in einer Magierschule, die Band für Band ein Jahr hinter sich bringen und sich vermutlich am Ende der großen Bedrohung der Magier stellen werden klingt schon sehr wie HP. Auch die Krankenzimmer-Szene hat mich daran erinnert.
Trotz allem fand ich es durchaus interessant und spannend. Es gibt einige Dinge, die ich so nicht vorhergesehen habe und es wäre definitiv möglich, dass sich diese Geschichte in eine ganz andere Richtung als HP bewegen wird – oder in genau dieselbe, man wird sehen.

I know a lot of people have compared this to Harry Potter. Just because a book is about young kids going to a school of magic and there is an evil character doesn't mean a book is Harry Potter. Yes, this book did have all those things, but I had no problem with any of that. You can take that as a starting point and have an infinite amount of stories that are unique and different.
But there were very specific and little details that reminded me of Harry Potter and that I did have a problem with. There was so much different about the world in this book that I shouldn't have still been thinking about Harry Potter after the first chapter - but I was. And that is the reason I couldn't give this book 5 stars.
