Stealing Christmas by Alexa Riley

Standalone Erotic Romance Holiday Novella with bonus novella

I always love some quick, dirty and cheesy Christmas novels. And although I wasn’t in love with Alexa Riley’s Christmas story from last year, Snow & Mistletoe (included with Stealing Christmas) I still enjoyed it. I figured they had a year and a ton of books to improve, so when I saw a bigger girl on the cover of Stealing Christmas, I clicked. I really wanted to love it.

But it was kind of the same story, just a little creepier, and not as hot. A rich recluse, Nicholas Light and a sweet innocent named Christmas Winter (Really? So she will eventually be Christmas Light?).

Christmas works as an elf in the mall and loves Christmas and spreading cheer. She is told to go straight from work (in her elf costume) to the reclusive mall owner's home for a Christmas party. When she arrives, the gorgeous millionaire left no doubt what he wanted. He had been seeing Christmas on the mall security cameras and became obsessed.
I’d never heard her speak a word, and yet I knew she was kind. I’d never felt her touch, yet I knew she was tender and sweet. I’d never kissed her lips, yet I knew that she was the one. That she was going to be the mother of my heirs and the wife at my side. I knew all of that, and so I created this party and made sure she would be here.

He has had a few weeks of stalking her (all mall cameras watch her all the time) to fall in love with her, but as soon as he says her wants her (and she knows he watched her), she falls just as hard.

With all the creepy stalker stuff and insta-love, I was hoping for some hot sex, but as soon as he said “I want her fat pussy in my mouth and her hands gripping my hair as she climaxes on my face.” I was kind of insulted for her and turned off. What woman wants her pussy (or anything) called fat? He later talks about her fat tits.

I know this is all about the rich guy and the virgin…but this next line just seems like it is written in every one of these quick and dirty novellas.
“But my cock is too demanding and he needs to be fed. He wants inside her, and he wants to breed.”

I am not going to list likes and dislikes for such a short book, but I want to say that despite my review sounding like really disliked it, I didn't.  I sat and read it on one sitting. If you don’t really think about it, it’s a quick, fun and sexy read. But after writing so many books I thought the pair of authors would evolve and improve and it basically seemed to me that they spent a few hours, followed a formula that worked and churned it out. I also thought he was a bit too creepy, but she was sweet and likable, though I have no clue what she saw in him.

If you like the quick books with the creepy recluse and the virgin, filled with insta-love and breeding, Stealing Christmas is a kind of cute, sweet and dirty choice.

A cute, sexy, over the top Christmas story. I loved how the main character Christmas was "plus sized" and the model on the cover reflected as such! It's nice to read about a female character with meat on her bones! Nicolas is a broody millionaire who can't help but be swept up by Christmas and her infectious nature. This was a nice holiday story and I loved the having two epilogues. We also get a bonus story called Snow and Mistletoe. This story was really good and kinda reminded me of a holiday version of Beauty and the Beast. I enjoyed both stories and any lovers of Christmas books will enjoy these stories.

I'm somewhere in the middle with this one, I'd probably rate it a bit higher just because it's on KU but I'm a bit stuck at just liking it. I'm usually all for the stalkery type heroes but his POV kinda creeped me out at times, mainly because he said he wanted an heir before he wanted her then she was the perfect one and the heir thing became a non thing but something about how he explained himself didn't sit right with me. Anyway it's pretty typical for an AR book which also might be why I can't go much higher because everything feels the same and too much of something isn't good for ya!

This was an enjoyable, quick, insta love story that fans of these two ladies will enjoy. Along with the bonus story Snow and Mistletoe that is included with this book.
