I have read and loved all of Cassie's books, and I can definitely say that "Lady Midnight" is my favorite first book that she has written! It started off a bit too slow, but then once it picked up, I couldn't put it down!
Even though this is also a part of the Shadowhunter World, it was so different from Cassie's other works. We got to explore a Shadowhunter's story knowing that they have always been involved with the world. As for characters, I absolutely loved them!
This book was amazing, and I cannot wait to pick up the next one (the ending of this one made me very upset).

I'd write a more detailed review if it wasn't midnight and if I didn't have a dentist appointment at 7:45 tomorrow morning.
This book crushed me. I don't know what to say, since I didn't go into this novel with the highest expectations. I loved the infernal devices trilogy, but was disappointed by the last three Mortal Instruments books.
Lady Midnight is all the way up there with Clockwork Princess for me. The whole book reminded me more of the Infernal Devices than the Mortal Instruments (which is a good thing I think!)
Emma was an amazing heroine, I loved the Blackthorn kids, but most of all I love Julian. If you expect him to be another Jace or Will type character, you've never been more wrong in your life. Julian is the most gentle, caring, strong, adorable boy ever. It sounds cheesy, but I really did fall in love with him while reading this book.
I'm gonna say, I was completely surprised by how the riddle was solved. I just didn't see it coming, and when it was revealed I couldn't believe it.
For the most part of the book I was wondering why it's called Lady Midnight. Then, I think it was at around 70% we finally found out :)
Anyway, I'm not sure if what I'm typing here makes any sense since I pretty much spent the last two days reading this book. But let me tell you, this is going to be the worst book hangover I've ever had in my life. Probably even worse than the one after I finished Queen of Shadows.
5/5 stars. Thanks Cassie, it really was a wild ride.

[a:Cassandra Clare|150038|Cassandra Clare|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1270502031p2/150038.jpg]I cannot put into words exactly how much I loved this book, but I will do my best.
Cassandra Clare has always been one of my favorite authors her books are definitely the best books I have ever read and Lady Midnight is no exception.
I love the world that Cassandra has created and I love how her writing always keeps you interested, there was never a dull moment or a moment I found boring while reading this book.
I really enjoyed the Blackthorn family in this book, I liked how they all stuck together and would do anything for each other. I thought the characters were all perfect in their own ways, like Julian being and artist or Ty loving solving puzzles.
The relationships in this book blew my mind, weather they were between family members, friends, parabatai, etc. The directions some of the relationships go in the book were so unexpected and so well set up for the next book which I am so excited for. I can't wait to see how the plot and the characters develop in the next book, I recommend this book to everyone who likes magic, mystery and the idea of a different world within our own.

This is by far her best work yet. I cannot wait to see where this series goes!!!!
i wish i could give this book a million stars. the storyline was so good but also the representation and inclusion of neurodiverse characters is amazing
i don’t support the shadowhunters agenda but that won’t keep me from emma and julian
i mean i have been slightly indoctrinated by the shadowhunter agenda and yet this book is genuinely extremely well-written
a compelling and super interesting plot with a brilliant cast of characters and a heart wrenching focus on what we do for family
the romance plot is yummy as hell and i think underrated in its power but balanced super well with the actual plot so you don’t ever get bored of either
also genuinely funny at moments and fully emotional at others so i must congratulate cassie
