Well shit

Also Cassandra Clare needs to come up with more names to call her characters besides Christopher and Johnathan

P.S - If Julian and Emma don’t come out unscathed, in love, and together by the end of this series, then I am suing Cassandra Clare and no one stop me :)

love you <33

I know half the people out there are btching about another book from Casandra Clare and to that I say: hello! she is an author what do you expect, and don't read the book so get off your soap box. I really enjoyed the book but I do think she could have cut out 100 pages at least. She did a great job of helping us to learn to like and eventually love these new shadowing characters. so bring on the next book!

It was pretty good. I really enjoyed the characters and action. I'll definitely read book 2 when it comes out.

Cassandra Clare is a genius. I can't help being drawn to the qualities of her characters: Emma determination to try, try, try beyond all real hope, and Julian's fierce determination to reflect the different versions of himself his brothers and sisters need him to be - the father, the protecter, the perfect person he is not - despite the internal conflict he weathers alone.

Urgh, I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!

2022: High stakes and an incredibly compelling cast of characters. Easily the best book that Cassandra Clare has written. (Believe me, I've read a LOT of them!)
