3.5 stars: it was good but not memorable.
I have enjoyed the Madigan Mountain series and I am really intrigued when authors collaborate to create a series together.
The characters blended well across all 3 books, still they can all be read as stand alones.
I have liked other books by Devney Perry more: I thought that Crew and Raven lacked some depth and the narrative arch was more of a hilly slope, while with Ms Perry I am used to some drama peak that keeps me hooked.
I loved meeting the side characters again, especially Weston and his family. I would have liked to read of a couple of "girls' night": I think it would have added to Raven's depth and it would have been a great way to hear where Ava and Callie are at.
It has been a nice leisurely ride.

This was such a fun read. It takes place at a ski resort in Colorado and focuses on Crew, a famous snowboarder whose family owns the ski resort. He left town years ago but has reluctantly come back for his brother’s wedding. Raven, is the little sister of Crew’s best friend and has always been immune to Crew’s charms.
When they decide to have one night together, Crew gets to be with the girl who has avoided him and realizes maybe being home isn’t so bad. Raven knows that he’s leaving and it should be easy to forget him, but she can’t seem let him go.
I really like how the balanced and pushed each other. Raven never really did things for herself and Crew gave her the confidence to go for what she wants. Crew has been away from Colorado for so long, he never realized how much being away from his family had actually affected him.

It actually made me sad that we did not get to see Ava and Reed's wedding! I was also bugged that author is not the best with following their own details in the story.
Crew as a baby brother is a real one, tho. I love how he remembered all hotel and town's situations (especially with his brothers). Very youngest sibling energy (takes one to know one).
I have a dillema, I want Weston, I want Crew. Guess as long as it is Madigan man I can settle.
Out of all 3 books, this one definitely have the most romance in, but it's also the one I think I relate to the most - characters wise.
Overall thoughts for the series:
I appreciate how all of them described grieving and family relations.
Very nice winter but not christmasy read. I loved 2nd and 3rd book - they were well written and past paced, but not gonna lie; if it wasn't for Rebecca Yarros I don't think I'd continued past 1st book. It's tricky to have 3 different authors to write serie in one universe and keep it logical.

Perfect Winter Romance!
Crew hasn’t been home for over 10 years, and that is by choice. But now his brother is getting married and it is time to return to Penny Ridge. He thinks it is a quick thing to go there and then back. His brothers also have more in mind for him than just the wedding. Because Madigan Mountain is rising and the only thing missing is for them to host Snowboarding competitions. And who better to help with that than their world-famous snowboarding legend of a brother? Raven has been working at Madigan Mountain for a long time and teaching the kids how to ski or snowboard fills her heart but she has thought about competing for so long. She asks herself every day what is holding her back. She knows the answer but doesn’t want to admit it. Dating athletes is a no-go for her. After Thayer, she swore them off. But Ever since Crew Madigan came back to town and she got a taste of the goods, things might change after all.
Even though I live in Switzerland, I am not a snowboarder or a skier, but reading this book makes me wanna go up the mountains and feel the nice breeze. This was a charming winter book for the perfect month. Raven is, for sure, an overthinker otherwise, she would have started her career a long time ago. Because she knows she is good, but due to the overpowering brother, she never wants to admit that. I think her character traits were perfectly depicted when she was just with Crew. He gave her the safety net that she needed to grow comfort. Crew still holds a grudge towards his father and we can feel the anger through his coldness. His character is very stubborn and shows strength but deep down it bothers him that he hasn’t made up with his father. Because he keeps telling himself that his mother would have told him to fix it. . She supports him with his career and with the fact that even though he got hurt he needs to finish with a great season. The two are meant for each other and this was a book I could read until like 3 am!

First snowboarding book for me.
Definitely a good winter vibe read.
Plus I mean it’s Devney Perry…
*Did not read the first two in the series

Dnf. Maybe I'll come back to it at least for the epilogue.
Update: I read the epilogue. HEA. Ok. I just lost interest but I guess those 2 fell in love. Shrugs.
