"Yep. I loved her. My whole life was about to change, wasn't it?"

- small town
- sports romance (pro snowboarder)
- brother's best friend
- one-night stand (turned more)
- secret romance
- no breakup
- 🌶️🌶️/5
- dual pov
- narrated by Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin

This was exactly what I needed – a low-angst winter romance featuring a pro snowboarder who's avoided home for 12 years but returns for one night to attend his brother's wedding. He reconnects with his best friend's little sister, and when he has to extend his trip, they extend their secret fling.

"What do you taste like?"
"Careful, Raven, I just might let you find out." 🤭

Crew and Raven have a magnetic pull, where one night becomes forever as they can't stay away from each other. They also bring out the best in each other. Raven listens to Crew and helps him heal from the past, while Crew pushes Raven to pursue her snowboarding dreams.

Another thing I like about their relationship is that they are open and honest. They don't dance around their feelings, trust each other, and don't break up 👏🏻.

Vanessa Edwin and Jason Clarke never fail me; this book was no exception.

I also didn't read the other books in the series, so it definitely stands alone. But once you meet the brothers and learn about their family history, you'll want to read their stories next, as I do!

The Ski Bum Book For My Ski Bum Heart!

Cre has been avoiding his hometown for 12 years while becoming an accomblished snowboarder. When his brother invites him to his wedding he knows he need to come home for a quick trip. To bad the trip doesn't turn out that quick when he finds his old crush Raven Darby in his arms. And the two can't seem to stay away from each other. Too bad Raven has sworn off athletes.

I have been low key looking for a ski/snowboard romance and Devney Perry hit the mark with this one. Love Raven paving her own way, but you know she also wants stability. While Crew is anything but stable. He's reckless and wild, but he totally falls hard when it comes to Raven and completely had me giggling. And giving me the warm fuzzies.

Maybe I should have read the other book first and not jumped into number 3, butttt this wad a perfect standalone. Sometimes I feel like books claim to be standalone but you really need miss a lot of important information. But this was a true stand alone!

4 beautiful, wild stars

You know you're reading a book tailored to your heart when you put all the others aside, when you keep smiling, even after you finished reading for the day, when your heart sings, your eyes are seeing prettier colors and, all together, life is better.

There are a lot of things I love about Devney's books. One of them is the name of the characters. She always has the best names, the most unusual, yet the best ones. So good!
