Still lining for the next book

I devour this series and each book leaves me on edge for the next. This one changed so many things, and I'm here waiting again for the next. Great series!

Okay I’m officially obsessed with this series

Review of series up to this point: ARRGGHHHHHH!!!

Robert Downey Jr frustrated

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. I hate starting an unfinished series because I'm impatient as hell and the next book doesn't even have a freakin release date.

Series Overall: 4.8/5
These books have been amazing. I struggled at first because you're purposefully left in a dark on a lot, mainly only knowing what Laith knows. And my frustration with her is an absolute understatement up until this point but I get it. She has been so sheltered and then is exposed to a whole knew dangerous, manipulative world practically overnight. She's not stupid but she is so naïve and reactionary it kills me. I love her and Rhordyn's relationship. I love all the complexities written into their story and characters. It's dark and obsessive. Rhordyn is straight-up the perfect anti-hero and I can't wait to learn (and probably be devastated) as to where the story will take us from here.
SpoilerAlso... we've already killed the dude and then brought him back. Wherever it goes from here... I'm kinda scared...

“You need to find a way to shed the weight of your damage, Orlaith. Or it will drag you under”

Oh my goodness! 4 iridescent stars for this lovely book. I liked the first two, they hooked me in, but I think this is where the series is hitting it’s stride! The character growth, the lore, the history! Sarah knocked it out of the park here.

To Flame a Wild Flower is such a great installment to the series, especially after that killer cliffhanger last book (pun intended). I have to be honest I was getting a little concerned with the direction Orlaith was going, but this pulled me back. I was waiting all last book for some sort of turning point of the self destruction but we got there eventually. I loved seeing her and Zali interact, I want more of that because it was giving me girlboss but in the best way. She has a long way to go, but I really enjoyed her progress towards healing and self acceptance.

I also enjoyed all of the lore and world building we got more of this time. I am big on lore, personally, and sometimes I hate having to wait to get to the important history as to why things are significant. However, this book quenched some of that, it had a good balance of giving me what I felt I was lacking before but keeping some back to maintain the suspense. Cannot wait for more!

Orlaith needs a break. Rhordyn and Orlaith need to sit down and talk.

I’m still laughing at how they chose to do it for the first time in a cave when they could have done it in a bed the night before.

Sufficiently angst so I don’t have too much to say. The plot is starting to roll which is exciting. Although, it’s making me wonder how certain characters play into the overall story (namely Kai) because even though I love his character, he doesn’t have a major role so I’m excited to say how it plays out.

Still pretty confused Sarah. But this one was definitely the best.

This was definitely the best book of the series so far. I felt like we finally got some action and I got to know Rhordyn. So much happened but at the same time nothing happened? This seems like a situation where I just couldn’t really get into the story. I do love the writing and the constant guess work I’m doing and trying to figure out the answers to all these major questions I have! I’m gonna finish the series because there are things in this book that will haunt me if I don’t have answers to.
