This series is so frustratingly addictive. You are fed mere crumbs of information, never getting the full story which at times is so incredibly annoying but I also wouldn’t have it any other way. This series is what From Blood and Ash wishes it could be.

I don’t know what I expected. I was hoping for a fantastical world and magic and myth and conflict.

Instead I got an unexplained toxic male figure, an immature, arc-less female figure and lots and lots and lots of tEnSiOn.

But seriously, how many ways can you describe someone’s eye color changing or their stoney expression?

Just when the FMC start to grow a backbone, one tiny confession from MMC and she’s suddenly over alllll the problematic things and madly in love with him? Ew.
