I’m in awe of the beautiful world Sarah has created.
I have never connected to a fictional character as much as I have with Orlaith. Sarah has entrapped me into her universe and I don’t ever want to leave. Her writing shows over and over again that pain can be beautiful but also dark. The way she captures grief and emotion is unlike anything I’ve ever read.
Because I don’t like writing spoilers in my reviews, I’m going to be vague but just trust me

I think this where we finally connect the dots.
So many secrets unearthed, so many twists and turns.
More things are making sense now, especially
the history and how everything is connected.
I don't think there was anyone who didn't hurt in
this book. I was so blown away by the author's versatile
thinking. Like always, amazing storytelling, character
development, and world building. The lengths that
Rhordyn will go for Orlaith is still swoon worthy. I never
imagined some of the things that took place leading up to
this book happening. I have a feeling we'll continue to not
expect anything that's about to happen.

Finally, FINALLY, we’re getting some answers. And along the way we also see what the FMC is made of. She’s learning what she’s capable of, how clever she is and that she is not here to be manipulated. Yes, she still makes mistakes but she’s learning and she’s learning quickly.
There’s also a lot of emotional pain and then healing. Beautifully written, as all the books in this series have been. The vibes are immaculate. I really feel like I am there, exploring and experiencing alongside the characters.

Just not fun and too heavy. The purple prose was almost suffocating and the plot unravelled to slowly. It feels like I’ve been reading about the main character spiraling for three books. Might pick it back up as I don’t like to leave series unfinished but am not sure. Now I know why the author needs breaks between the books. I do too!!
