Absolutely loved it!! Still so many things still left unanswered, can’t wait for the next book in the series

I am not okay.

Sarah knows how to write unreliable narrators and keep you on your TOES

We finally get some answers, yet have more questions?? The storyline and characters are definitely dark and can be confusing at times. The romance is also veryyyy slow burn and sometimes slightly toxic (they're working through things LOL). This series probably won't be everyone's cup of tea but something about this author works for me and I overall like it! I'm looking forward to more answers (and questions) in book 4.

I'm not sure. Loved and didn't love all at once

I have thoughts. Honestly I was confused during most of the last book and half of this one. I liked the last half of the book best because I finally understood parts that before were confusing. I don't think I love the way the author explains feelings, its not clear for me. The way she describes the internal monologue throws me off. I can't exactly explain why. I love the idea of the books and I love the characters, I feel they are pretty well developed, but I'm often lost at what is happening. Overall it was better than the last book by a long shot for me. However parts still fell flat. That being said I will definitely read the next book.

Good but definitely not as good as the first two

There were many very exciting parts and the POVs were great but I felt too much time was spent in Orlaith’s mind. The time spent on her inner turmoil would have been better spent on story development. I ended up skipping over it because it was the same battle, just with different words.
There were transitions that didn’t make sense and weren’t explained. She falls in the ocean and wakes up on a strange beach. No explanation how she survived unconscious in the water. (spoiler alert - stop reading if you don’t want to know) When she wakes, Rhordyn just so happens to be there but we have no idea how he got there either. on top of that he somehow knows that her friends are safe back in the capital city.
I loved how thoughtful the first two books were but this one was not as tight. Despite this being the 3rd book in a three book series, the series didn’t end. BUT there is absolutely no talk of another book. That is so frustrating when I’m enjoying but have no clue when, and if, there will be another book. This series could have easily ended with book 3. 538 pages was plenty to wrap it up. I don’t know if I’ll circle back to see if there’s another. Unfortunate.

Review to come

This was very emotional but very addictive. And now I'm sad that I have to wait however long for book 4.

Incroyable
