Frankly, this was just a nostalgia reread. I read it on wattpad when i was like 12 and revisited it and it’s not the best writing but the nostalgia hit hard
Re-read. I didn't remember the ending to be so bittersweet, I hate those. But April is so cute, hence the 4 stars.
The Quirky Tale of April Hale by Cathy Octo.
April Hale is normal.Well... normal looking. Once you introduce yourself and get to know her a little bit more, well, you'll definitely get weirded out.
Weird, cute and oblivious about the world, April is the opposite of what a normal teenager do. For example, talking like Yoda, talks to her teddy bears, watching old T.V. shows, and entertaining herself by listening to her hot neighbor's fight with his parents every single day.
They've been neighbor's for ten years and not once have they ever crossed paths, until one fateful day where he gets kicked out of his own home.
Now, their paths have been entwined where the two outcasts somehow actually understood each other better than anyone else.
This is the quirky tale of April Hale.
Charming and entertaining, Cathy Octo has definitely made this book into my favorite book. This book is very cute and loving and Cathy made April really hilarious. There's a lot of romance which I love and it is really engaging.
For those people who has Asperger's, they can definitely relate to April. I recommend this book to 12 yrs and up.
Hope you enjoy this book like I did!
