This was my first time reading this book. Of course, I knew it was a very popular story and a staple in a lot of people’s childhoods due to the movie as well as the book. I did really enjoy how it was written. For a children’s book this was definitely scary at times. I can imagine children reading it and really enjoying it as an entry to the horror genre. I did also enjoy the fairytale like aspect to this story. I would recommend!
