This book felt so short.

I'd say that the film was better.
It goes more into depth and it’s more enjoyable.

• Neil Gaiman is a literal genius (check the update).

“it is astonishing just how much of what we are can be tied to the beds we wake up in in the morning, and it is astonishing how fragile that can be.”

Read this book after it was recommended in a book club and it was short enough. I had seen the movie so I knew what would happen but it was still a good book, I don’t remember being completely invested in the book but it wasn’t a bad read. Wouldn’t read again one seems enough

This was a miss for me which I was a bit surprised about. In this children's novel we are following Coraline a girl who is a bit bored. When discovers a door that seems to go into another apartment that shouldn't be there, she encounters the "other" world. She soon has to outwit her "other " mother to get back to her world and find her parents. The first 1/3 of this book was more interesting to me and then it just fell flat to me and never recovered.

A really good children's novella by Neil Gaiman. I would highly recommend Coraline for kids in the middle grades and up.
