ugh i literally almost cried when i finished this because i have fallen so hard for this world and the characters. i genuinely hope claire kent continues with the novella series like she mentioned at the end of ‘hero’

Going into this I was really worried that I wasn't gonna be able to enjoy it since I'm not a huge fan of post-apocalypse settings but I ended up really liking it actually. Despite the setting and some of the events that occurred, this was actually a pretty cozy-ish read to me? Idk, some may not like it but I liked how slow and meandering things were and how things weren't so intense and the stakes weren't life threatening. As for the characters, I really liked both the fmc and mmc, the latter was grumpy without being cruel and the way he cared for the fmc was sweet. There was a bit too much smut for my personal taste but I honestly didn't mind it that much.

Wow.
That’s all I can really say. I couldn’t put this down. After all the Fallout games I’ve been playing, I needed something to quench that “romance in the wastelands” type book. It was something different than what I’ve read in the past, and I enjoyed every part of it.
