I liked this book.. but I didn't love it. I enjoyed the story but the pictures were a bit hard to follow at times. I think I also just didn't vibe with the characters. Beetle & the Hollowbones was entertaining and I was able to read it pretty quickly but personally wasn't totally my cup of tea.

I found this story to be a little hard to follow. Touches on friendships, and how it feels to renew them when someone has been gone a long time as well as what happens when one friend is threatened by the closeness of another one with a third party. Loved Gran - what a badass.

I totally fell in love with the characters Beetle, Ghost Blob and Kat. The chemistry between them works so well and is a great catalyst for the story. Also, the representation is great, Ghost Blob is nonbinary and there is a queer romance!

This takes place in a really fun spooky, paranormal world where all of the characters are more on the monstrous side. I really enjoyed this change in pace from usual fantasy type worlds.

This is all brought to life with amazing art and colors that just pop off the page!
