I really enjoyed this one. Nothing groundbreaking. It's the story of an obsessive Dr called Marcus Valentine. He's got an obsessive personality. He can be quite controlling. The plot is pretty clippy. It rolls along easily. He meets a new person to be obsessed with.

It highlights the potential issues of sharing something as innocuous as your latest exercise routine. Especially when it's a GPS route of your run from out of your door, around a park and back to your house again. I mean, it's a stalker's wet dream.

What I particularly liked about this novel was how rounded the character of Marcus was. Little comments he made would absolutely turn your stomach. Every time he posed as charismatic, it was just the right amount of unsettling. Not enough that you felt like the other characters were idiots for not realising. But just that slight... Offness that I think is a credit to the writer.

Speaking as a writer, there's a fair few things I'd have employed to kick it up a notch. It did seem like the pace was good until halfway and then it just seemed to speed up a little too much. I always find these books are way too eager to get to the end. Maybe it's a failure in the process of writing. The author is very prolific. Might do them well to write it out and then put it aside for a period of time to settle a bit.

Are stalkers always low-life losers? Reading this book, we know it is not case. We have successful, charismatic men like Marcus Valentine. From the moment he sees Georgie, he starts obsessing over her and stalking her. His position as a very skilled surgeon gives him superior powers to play God and it gets creepier. Georgie was a strong character, though she doesn't realize that she is being stalked, she had very strong instincts.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had nail-biting moments and I sat up late to finish it. The ending was satisfactory.
Some part where Georgie is dealing with her pregnancy read like excerpts from ' What to expect when you are expecting'. But I didn't mind, as all the details were relevant.
I have liked all the books by Peter James. He is a great story teller. Highly recommended!

I follow you is a psychological thriller that kept me glued to my kindle from start to end.

Jersey, it’s a small island where everybody knows everybody and they connect in any activity or daily scene.

Marcus is the gynecologist of the clinic where Georgi, a fitness trainer, attends her pregnancy consultations and that’s how his infatuation starts.

There are many moments when I wanted to shout at her to watch her back or say” don’t believe him!” and the author has the ability to keep me committed til the last page to unveil why Marcus was so obsessed with her and where his plan will take us next.

The side characters, her friend and husband, the dialogue and all the suspenseful moments, made this story even more reliable.

A fast-paced read with so many twists and turns, some predictable some not so much, where not everyone is who they pretend they are, with some mysterious situation with no answer or solution, all adds up for another must read by a favourite author.

I highly recommend it to all the thriller/crime lovers.
