Wow! A surprising, but very welcome boost to the series!

Not as good as some of the other entries in the series. The central plot conflict just didn't do it for me. Felt a little too neat and tidy.

No soy objetiva y ni me importa. Miles me hace ser feliz.

I enjoyed this book, the first we see Quinn as a major character. I liked Galeni's character a lot.

Genial wie immer.

all of these books are just so solid. we love a [spoiler]! really excited about what [spoiler] will mean for the rest of the series!

An exceptional novel. On old Earth, Miles comes across a plot against Barrayar that becomes more personally involving than he can imagine. Wonderful characters, an involving plot, and some fantastically funny sequences--this is one of my favorite Vorkosigan novels.

Still enjoying revisiting these books as audiobooks while going through some Stuff

While I was inevitably spoiled for this novel along the way (inevitable when you are curious enough to go trawling wiki for information), I still enjoyed the "twist" in the novel. While I'm not sure why cloning was the path chosen for Mile's development it made for a fairly interesting read.

I feel somewhat guilty that my most vivid memory of this novel is the trauma which Ivan went through, but the book proceeds nicely and there are a few choice moments which go on inside of Mark's head which are quite fascinating.
