Review: A swoon worthy surprise pregnancy romance from Piper Rayne! Adeline and Damon are an opposites attract couple who overcome a lot of hurdles to get to their HEA. I adored the way Damon went all in with Adeline from the start and found myself crossing my fingers that he could win over her parents. Piper was able to create just the right amount of tension and lust in this book and the tropes spoke for themselves as the plot unfolded.
The main conflict in this book is how Adeline finds out she is pregnant after her one night stand with Damon. From the way she is afraid to tell him to how he surprisingly finds out, I enjoyed the dilemmas the two were put in. I liked how Damon was not afraid to stand up to his parents in order to support Adeline and I adored the way he pampered her and wanted only the best for her. I only wished that Adeline would of trusted him sooner. I hated how she let the opinions of her mother and friends sway her judgment of Damon at first.
Overall, this book is a quick read with a lot of swoon. There is a bit of spice and chemistry from the get go but it builds as the story goes on. I loved how Damon and Adeline are both perfect for one another but struggle to see it for the longest time. I also liked how Piper incorporated a lot of outside support for the couple. This book is great for fans of football alphamales and sweetheart FMCs.
Rating: 4/5, a romance full of found family and swoon worthy alphamales!

I love meddling friends and families and when they help get our main characters their HEA. Damon is all in from the start, for his baby, and I loved how Adeline and him worked for their kid first, to make things work, before getting involved again with one another.
The slow burn is so real !
We get times from the pregnancy but also after the baby is born and it really makes great family moments. Damon with a kid ? More, please!

Now it's time for Cooper... This might be the story I'm the most excited about, especially considering how the epiloge in Something Like Lust ended!!

Wide receiver Damon Siska is the Chicago Grizzlies playboy and received the biggest surprise of his life when he learns heโs becoming a father.
And when I tell you, thereโs just something about a playboy falling! Damon didnโt stand a chance and neither did my heart. Watching him completely switch up and fully embrace fatherhood made me just positively melt! From the moment he found out the news, he went all protective alpha dad mode and it was both heartwarmingly sweet and panty meltingly hot!
Neither of them knew it at first, but Adeline was the perfect woman for him. Their connection, the extra thick sexual tensionโฆthese two were undeniably it. I just loved her spirit and heart. She spoke her mind freely. When she stood up to his dad, I was like, โyesss, you go girl.โ She refused to be bulldozed. She brought out feelings Damon had long buried and had no intention of ever coming to surface. Stubborn was not the word for this man. He fought tooth and nail against his feelings and lived deeply in denial land. He seriously had me ready throw my kindle. Even though I wouldโve liked to see him get his head out of his butt earlier, I appreciated the growth from Damonโs character from the beginning to the end of the book.

I had all sorts of theories running around in my head but the truth was a real eye opener.
From the moment Damon found out about Adeline, his playboy ways seemed to vanish and we got to see a softer, more vulnerable side to him.
I adored reading about their challenges. Loved watching how their relationship changed, deepened, and finally, how they couldn't deny their attraction any more.
I did miss the shenanigans from the friend group for a lot of the book but I understood why they weren't around. And it was actually a nice touch, it gave Damon and Adeline (and Clover) time to adjust to their new normal.
Make sure to grab the bonus scene. It was perfectly cute and such a satisfying addition to this surprisingly sweet story.
I'm very much looking forward to Coop's story.

This story had me HOOKED. I read through the night & could not put it down.
Piper Rayne does it again. I loved Damon and Adelineโs story even though it had secret pregnancy and redeemed playboy tropes which are usually not my go-tos. The characters in this story are so easy to love. I get sucked into the story after the first line and I cannot put the book down.
I don't normally like the main trope of this book at all but Damon made it work. He was so sweet and he really stepped up when it mattered. It was obvious how Damon and Adeline were attracted to each other but it was also much more than that. I genuinely enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed. I also just adore the friendship between all the characters and I'm really looking forward to Cooper and Ellery's story. I just wish we had more of Daemon and Adeline's relationship after they got together. The authors didn't rush their relationship at all, which I'm glad about because that's usually why I don't like this main trope, but I wish the ending was a bit more fleshed out as it felt rushed only after they admitted their feelings each other. I would have liked to see more of them as a couple, even if they didn't verbally admit their feelings yet. Overall though, this was a cute story!
